CEDIA EXPO 2010 may have come and gone but there are still many CEDIA University training opportunities remaining for 2010, including a lighting control training package at the d.a.v.i.d. llc Training Facility and an HDMI Boot Camp, held on the east and west coasts.

Lighting Package Offered at d.a.v.i.d. llc

Learn the fundamentals of lighting control with CEDIA’s ESD Lighting Package offered at the d.a.v.i.d. llc Training Facility in Westbury, New York, on October 14. This package includes ESD223: Introduction to Lighting and Lighting Control and ESD323: Sub-Systems Lighting. ESD223 will guide participants through the general elements of lighting installation including load types, light dimming and integrated lighting. ESD323 takes the knowledge base from ESD223 and applies what participants learned to new situations. Visit www.cedia.org/education/david_training.php for more information.  As a special offering, students who complete this course are eligible for a $299 credit toward ELAN Lighting products.

CEDIA Introduces Intensive HDMI Boot Camp this Fall

CEDIA, in partnership with HDMI Licensing LLC and Quantum Data, is offering an HDMI Boot Camp. Designing and installing HDMI comes with its own set of challenges, even for the experienced technician. This workshop will equip you to work with this technology. This eight-hour hands-on course will help electronic systems contractors understand HDMI technology and how to better design and troubleshoot complex HDMI systems. Learn HDMI best practices and earn six CEUs in the process. This specialized boot camp will be offered in Sunnyvale, California, October 13, and in Mount Vernon, New York, October 21. Registration information is available at www.cedia.org/education/on_the_road.php.
