Niles Audios IntelliControl System Goes Global

By RS Staff, September 30, 2008

Miami, FL--Niles Audio has enhanced and adapted its IntelliControl ICS whole-house audio system to be compatible with the international market. Five new components have been created to make this possible, including the GXR2 EX Modular Multi-Zone Receiver, which is designed to work with an international power supply of 230 Volts/50 Hz; a new iRemote family of products designed with international radio frequency levels in mind: the iRemote EX, the RBX-1, the iRemote base which can also be used alone as a repeater station for large installs and RHS-1, the iRemote handset and the TM-AM/FM EX source card module, designed to accommodate international radio frequency signals.

"IntelliControl ICS has been a huge success for Niles in the United States," said Frank Sterns, president of Niles Audio Corporation. "Custom installers and dealers from around the world have been asking us to make this award-winning system available on the international market, and we are thrilled to now offer it for them," Sterns added.

IntelliControl ICS accommodates all of today's popular sources, delivering detailed information to and from its keypads, touch screens and wireless remote controls. Several of the American IntelliControl ICS products can be used with the international version of IntelliControl ICS, including the RS232G Bi-directional Gateway, which seamlessly integrates subsystems such as Lutron lighting controls and Escient and ReQuest music servers; the IM-Audio card for incorporating legacy audio sources such as CD players; the IM-iPod source card for integrating iPod media; and the Contact, Display and Single user interfaces.

Shipping now, the new international version of IntelliControl ICS will be sold at select, factory-authorized Niles IntelliControl ICS dealers across the globe.
