Niles Audio is now offering its dealers a way to configure multiple home theaters within an IntelliControl ICS system, following a significant update to its IntelliFile3 Software Build.

The latest IntelliControl ICS software update allows Niles Home Theater Main System Units (HT-MSU) to be assigned to specific audio zones of a connected GXR2 Modular MultiZone Receiver, creating a new “Theater Zone.”

This will enable custom installers to route all connected GXR2 sources to a home theater receiver over a single stereo RCA cable. IntelliControl ICS’ updated system architecture supports up to 30 audio/video zones, including up to four “Theater Zones,” while offering end-users reliable and intuitive control options such as the iRemoteTS.

Providing even greater flexibility, the software update allows installers to assign a single iRemoteTS, a wireless system remote control with color touchscreen, to control all connected home theaters, or assign a dedicated iRemoteTS for each home theater. 

“This major update to IntelliControl ICS software provides Niles dealers with the ability to support up to four home theaters and 26 additional audio-video zones per system,” Niles VP of sales and marketing Mike Detmer said. “Multiple home theater capabilities, as found in IntelliFile3 Software Build 141, enable dealers to generate additional revenues by retrofitting existing systems and designing new systems with enhanced customer appeal.”

To help support dealers with these updates to IntelliControl ICS, Niles will hold a series of IntelliFile3 training webinars featuring information on how to configure and program multiple home theaters, as well as other functional improvements to further reduce IntelliControl ICS programming time. Additionally, Niles will send representatives to locations throughout the US and Canada to provide on-site instruction on the new IntelliFile3 Software Build 141.

Niles also has introduced a new IntelliControl ICS System Design Guide to illustrate applications and simplify the design and integration of one or multiple home theaters into an IntelliControl ICS system.
