Audio Visual Innovations Acquires AVKM

September 20, 2008

Tampa, FL -- Audio Visual Innovations (AVI), has acquired Dallas-based AVKM, a 23-year-old audiovisual integration firm with broad design, installation, and rental capabilities.

In the acquisition, AVI inherits the Battle Command Information System (BCIS), a patented AVKM product for government and military applications. The system includes custom projection screens available in various sizes and a pre-configured video processing and control system.

This product line is part of a focused effort to support a growing demand for mobile communications products within the Government and Military markets. The BCIS system serves military operations and state/local security efforts, and compliments AVI's other pre-configured solutions for videoconferencing and conference rooms, SCALE.
