Ingram Micro Debuts Digital Signage Certification

March 11, 2010

Ingram Micro will offer a certificate in digital signage to help channel partners capitalize on the rapidly growing segment, which analysts peg anywhere from $1 billion to $3 billion worldwide, and pump up sales of the distributor’s folder of associated products and services.

The certification will be offered as a line card item consisting of online, instructor-led training courses and face-to-face trainings focusing on markets and segments, value chain, business models, return-on-investment, differentiation and selling value.

Channel partners that fulfill specifications for the certification earn the Ingram Micro Digital Signage Certified Expert (IM-DSCE).

Ingram officials said that it developed the certification in concert with the Digital Signage Experts Group, an industry organization honed in on providing education and certification standards for the segment and the technologies driving it.
