CEDIA HT Boot Camp, IP Workshop Set

By RS Staff, June 9, 2010

CEDIA’s upcoming Home Theater Boot Camp offers a way to advance your skills in just three days of training, June 22-24, at the Indianapolis training facility. Attendees can then their stay for a day and learn how to configure a router for both LAN and remote access with the IP and Networking workshop offered June 25.

The Home Theater Boot Camp will offer the opportunity to work in teams to install flat-panel displays, HD projectors, A/V components, and acoustical treatments and perform system calibration in CEDIA’s home theater lab. Lab work is then evaluated for performance and aesthetic appeal. This hands-on training is coupled with classroom training for the best possible understanding of how home theaters work and how they should be installed.

The IP Workshop course is specifically designed for integrators with little to no experience in IP networks. It will help attendees understand basic troubleshooting tasks on LANs and defining an IP addressing scheme for a project.

Be on the lookout for CEDIA University’s new Networking and IP track of education at CEDIA EXPO 2010. Visit www.cedia.org/expo to view details in the virtual registration brochure and to register for CEDIA EXPO.
