Marantz Launches All-in-One M-CR611 Music System

Marantz has launched its new M-CR611 network CD receiver with streaming and digital media features.

Marantz has launched its new M-CR611 network CD receiver that puts streaming and digital media features in an enclosure with a sleek black finish. It is expected to be available in August for $699.

This lifestyle network system now supports Spotify Connect (where available; subscription required), SiriusXM, and Pandora, as well as a host of other digital media and streaming features. In addition to listening to millions of songs on the world’s most popular online music services, the M-CR611 allows playback of music libraries stored on a NAS (Network Attached Storage) or a computer, and it provides access to thousands of free internet radio stations, and supports Apple AirPlay.

For audio enthusiasts, the M-CR611 is primed for the playback of the latest 192KHz/24-bit high-resolution digital audio formats including ALAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, and DSD files. The M-CR611 also offers CD and FM/AM radio playback.

Designed with ease of use in mind, this system features a “one-push” Wi-Fi connect button. The Wi-Fi connection has been upgraded to high-speed 11n for a faster and more reliable connection. The addition of Bluetooth boosts connectivity options even further, and if the Bluetooth device has the NFC function, users can connect easily by touching it to the N mark. iDevices can be connected via a front-facing USB port or an extra rear port for convenience. The M-CR611 also boasts two digital inputs for connection to a TV. Listeners can control the M-CR611 via an Android- and iOS-compatible Marantz Hi-Fi Remote app.

The 2×60-watt M-CR611 offers a bi-amping option and can drive speakers with a 4-ohm rating. The front color illumination on the M-CR611 can also be changed to white, blue, green, or orange.
