Marantz has added the renewed AV7702mkII A/V network pre-processor to its full-size home theater lineup, effective this October.

Marantz has added the renewed AV7702mkII AV network pre-processor to its full-size home theater lineup, effective this October.

Built on the model AV7702, the new AV7702mkII model offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Dolby Atmos while adding the latest HDMI version 2.0a compatibility with High Dynamic Range (HDR), BT.2020 pass-through support, along with HDCP 2.2 compatibility on all HDMI inputs and outputs. The AV7702mkII is ready for the next generation of Blu-ray disc players, set-top boxes, and other 4K Ultra HD sources.

As with the AV7702, the AV7702mkII can also be upgraded to support Auro-3D and the Auromatic upmixer up to 10.1 channels. It also adds DTS:X new object-based 3D surround format, available via future firmware update, to complete currently available 3D sound options. Pairing the AV7702mkII with a Marantz MM Power Amplifier further allows custom integrators to build advanced, flexible systems.

The AV7702mkII’s audio section allows for the passing of the signal to either the 11.2ch XLS or 13.2ch RCA pre-outs, and to an external power amplifier. It offers a dedicated pre-amplifier board with HDAM and a power supply for the pre-amplifier stage, and comes equipped with audiophile-grade ELNA capacitors to give special treatment to high-resolution audio reproduction.
