The following is a recommendation of how to influence architects to consider a dedicated theater room early in the design phase.
Aside from the obvious goal of creating an environment that provides entertainment, excitement, and fun, the objective of designing a private theater should be to produce a room that supports the accurate reproduction of audio and video.
In the design and engineering of a private theater, when is it appropriate to take it “to the Nth degree?” This is the question that was recently posed to us by one of our most valued integrator clients.
Designing private theaters is a great business.
We often hear comments like, “What’s the big deal, it is supposed to be a dark room anyway” or “The lighting design has already been done by the interior designer.”
