Renowned tech industry veteran Eric Bodley was presented with the Consumer Electronics Association’s coveted TechHome Leadership Award at the Mark of Excellence awards ceremony held in the famous Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. The honor is given to a single winner annually at CES in recognition of significant contributions to the growth and success of the TechHome industry.

Bodley, who this week announced the debut of his new venture Future Ready Solutions, was present to accept the award. His more than thirty years of industry experience includes retail, custom installation, manufacturing, launching a variety of brands and products, founding a top Southeast U.S. integration firm, and other technology consulting expertise. In addition, Bodley is a past-president of CEDIA, a member of the CEA Board of Industry Leaders, and the Chair of the CEA Small Business Council.

“This amazing honor is a high point of my career and certainly a motivator to keep achieving among all of my incredible peers and predecessors. This has been a great year for our industry,” said Bodley. “The best part of the custom installation world is the partnerships and collaboration that has helped to create so much opportunity for us all. Future Ready Solutions is my latest, and I believe it is well-positioned to become the best cable and connectivity option.”

As the founding principal of Future Ready Solutions, Bodley chartered this new source of connectivity products with the mission to help the custom electronics industry “Connect With the Best.” The company’s first news of 2015 is the addition of Kordz commercial-grade HDMI cables to its continuum of connectivity solutions for residential and commercial custom installers. Additional brands in the distributor’s line card include Perfect Path, Celerity Technologies, PPC, and Belden Snap-N-Seal.

According to the Consumer Electronics Association, the TechHome Leadership Award is decided by members’ nominations based on strengths and accomplishments in volunteerism, pioneering vision, innovation and visibility. Bodley was deemed the nominee with the highest score and selected for the award, whose recent winners include Julie Jacobson, Michael Pope and Walt Zerbe.
