Lutron Electronics to Honor System Providers in Awards Competition

Lutron Electronics is seeking entries for its 13th annual Excellence Awards competition.

Lutron Electronics is seeking entries for its 13th annual Excellence Awards competition. Founded in 2003, the competition recognizes the world’s best total home control projects using Lutron’s lighting, shade, temperature, and energy controls. More than 100 of Lutron’s residential system providers have been honored since the competition’s inception.

To simplify the application process, formal award categories have been eliminated. Instead, entrants are being asked to submit their very best Lutron projects and let the judges do the rest. Entrants are encouraged to focus their entries on the following topics: Essence of Pleasance; use of RadioRA 2; use of HomeWorks QS; use of Caséta Wireless; integration with a security system; energy-saving applications; integration with third-party equipment; use of Sivoia QS shading and drapery solutions; and use of Sivoia QS Triathlon battery powered shades.

“Project excellence can be defined in many ways, whether it’s a unique application of Lutron systems and shades, custom integration with a security system, or using lights and shades as primary energy savers in the home,” said Michael Smith, vice president of sales at Lutron. “Lutron’s residential system providers strive for marketplace excellence every day, and we’re delighted to honor them with these prestigious awards.”

Winners will be announced on Thursday, October 15, in conjunction with CEDIA EXPO in Dallas, TX. Winners will receive a recognition award, recognition on Lutron’s website and in a press release, attendance at an awards dinner with Lutron executives, and a winner’s logo to use on their marketing materials and website.

“Tell us how you delighted your customers, how you overcame a challenge, and how our products helped you solve a problem,” said David Weinstein, Lutron’s vice president of residential sales. “Get creative with your entries – the more details the better.”

Visit www.lutron.com/excellenceawards for a complete list of rules and requirements, and to enter. All entries must be submitted via the online portal by 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, September 4.
