The Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) has chosen Jon Robbins, who helped found the buying group over 20 years ago, to lead the group’s membership and vendor engagement efforts. Robbins will work alongside Bob Hana, whose work in operations and marketing for HTSA will continue while also devoting more time to his personal passion of supporting children with special needs and their families.
Robbins is well-known for his years as a CEDIA integrator and was most recently enterprise sales manager for Netsertive, an internet-services firm for the custom integration industry. Bringing his connections and experience, Robbins will manage the day-to-day interactions between HTSA integrator members and vendor partners. At Netsertive, his primary responsibility was vendor recruitment and engaging dealers in online marketing community. He will take on a similar role at HTSA as managing director, and will help the buying group continue to grow in both the vendor and member segments as it celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
“As a founding member of HTSA, it is an honor to be rejoining this thriving community in a leadership role, over 20 years after we brought everyone together for the first time,” said Robbins. “I am looking forward to working closely with colleagues both past and present within the HTSA membership and hope to build on the model of success that Bob and his team have forged for this group over the past few decades.”
Although he will remain an integral part of the group, current managing director Bob Hana will be scaling back his involvement in order to fulfill a mission of launching a non-profit organization that provides assistance to families of special needs children.

The HTSA team will continue operations as usual out of its Chicago, IL offices.
