VIZIO, which became a major TV player by selling through national retail chains, will attend a CEDIA EXPO for the first time in October as part of its effort to expand into custom-install and specialty-AV channels.

The company will exhibit in the booth of the PowerHouse Alliance, the 12-member national consortium of regional distributors serving the specialty retail and CI channels, said Tarah Stokes, Vizio’s senior business development manager.

In July, VIZIO revealed that the Alliance would offer the TV maker’s M series of 4K Ultra HD TVs, which feature 43- to 80-inch models with up to 32 zones of full-array local dimming and prices from $599 to $3,999.
