RoseWater Energy Group Launches Compact Residential Energy Storage Hub

RoseWater Energy Group, a provider of energy storage products, has launched the smaller Residential Energy Storage Hub.

The Hub features the functionality to utilize a range of battery solutions to accommodate the ever-growing variety of home electronics applications and energy demands.

Sitting at less than half the size of the original RoseWater Energy Residential Energy Storage Hub—introduced at CEDIA EXPO 2012—the new Model 1012 RoseWater Residential Energy Storage Hub (dimensions: 24-inch W x 36-inch D x 72-inch H) offers RoseWater’s energy storage capabilities while taking an agnostic approach to battery support. This unique approach to battery modularity allows electronic systems contractors to properly specify and incorporate the perfect battery solution based on factors like local climates, the physical location of the Hub, battery life cycles and the specific demands of the connected systems. By offering ESCs the capability to utilize a range of battery solutions, the Model 1012 Residential Energy Storage Hub ensures that the homeowner will be able to fully benefit from the Hub’s ability to provide green energy, the convenience of a backup generator and the strength of a high-end commercial controls and monitoring.

“The new Model 1012 Residential Energy Storage Hub not only eliminates the ‘what if’ questions that electronic systems contractors face when it comes to how systems will survive natural disturbances, grid faults and other power interruptions, but the product now offers the added flexibility to utilize any number of battery solutions,” said Joe Piccirilli, managing director for RoseWater Energy Group. “The new system will supply the ESC with unmatched flexibility by allowing them to customize the unit for the application’s particular requirements, from features like renewable integration and power conditioning, to unit sizes and battery chemistries.”

Like its predecessor, the Model 1012 Residential Energy Storage Hub is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that provides a reliable backup to utility power, which is prone to voltage spikes and power surges that can permanently damage critical technology systems, including valuable electronics, home security and “smart home” control technologies.

In addition to providing constant, reliable power output from virtually all power sources, including solar panels and wind turbines, the Model 1012 Residential Energy Storage Hub serves as a powerful surge protector. Professional integrators and homeowners can be assured that the connected circuits will always see pure sine waves at 120 volts and 60 cycles—even when using solar energy, a capability normally perceived to be unreliable when used in conjunction with other power systems. The Model 1012 Residential Energy Storage Hub uses a 10kW/12kWh power quality conversion switchgear that corrects many common power quality problems that would otherwise occur when routing power from the grid, renewables and back-up generators.

The Model 1012 Residential Energy Storage Hub’s on-board UPS monitoring provides electronic systems contractors with a solution they can easily deploy to supply homeowners with monitoring capabilities from both in-home and remote access systems—a service rapidly growing in demand.

Additionally, homeowners seeking home energy freedom can now participate in demand response (DR) programs from their local utility company or let the powerful Model 1012 take them fully “off the grid” by utilizing renewable energy sources.

The RoseWater Energy Model 1012 Residential Energy Storage Hub will make its debut at CEDIA EXPO 2013 (booth #426), held September 26-28 in Denver, CO.
