Media Solutions Upgrades MS-TestPro

Media Solutions has added a new feature for the MS-TestPro, a handheld solution for in-field testing of HDBaseT systems and cabling, designed especially for integrators and technicians. The new feature allows installers to generate a certification report and inspect the quality of each cable installed, thus simplifying the installation of HDBaseT networks, including compatibility with 4K format.

The MS-TestPro generates a report after a short test, indicating the quality of various installation parameters. These include detailed information about link quality, link status of the transmitter and receiver, pixel clock, HDBaseT link chip type, and cable length. In addition, user-friendly graphs summarize the overall information.

“The HDBaseT report generator tool can analyze data automatically collected by the MS-TestPro and create a report detailing the quality of an HDBaseT-routed cable. The report can be then transferred to a computer or even to a smartphone,” said Eliran Toren, co-founder and CEO of Media Solutions. “This is a great opportunity for professional AV installers and integrators. For the first time ever, they can inspect the HDBaseT installation quality within a minute while in the field, detecting any possible failures on the line.”

The MS-TestPro is currently available for $1,395 for the touchscreen model with a built-in 3.5-inch touchscreen (MS102TD) and $1,695 for the Wi-Fi client model, with 3.5-inch screen, built-in HDMI pattern generator (MS103TDs).

During InfoComm 2017 (and from June 5 through June 30), Media Solutions is offering a special 10-percent discount with free international shipping. Media Solutions management will be at InfoComm in Orlando, June 14-16 in the HDBaseT Alliance Booth (3761) and will conduct a training seminar and workshop on Friday, June 16, 2017, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at exhibit hall and education sessions.
