StarTech.com has released a USB-C to HDMI Adapter. This product, available in black and white, extends the current product line of USB-C adapters to include HDMI, enabling users to connect their USB-C equipped laptops that support DisplayPort to HDMI monitors, projectors or TVs.
The USB-C to HDMI Adapter solves the issue of the, as of yet, limited adoption of USB-C, while helping to extend the usability of existing HDMI cables and allowing a port limited USB-C laptop or Ultrabook to connect to an HDMI monitor, projector or TV. The adapters are compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C devices that pass a DisplayPort video signal.
“This new USB-C adapter will enable users in IT departments and consumers to quickly and easily connect their DisplayPort enabled USB-C laptops to any HDMI display,” said Karishma Punwani, product manager at StarTech.com.
The adapter should be particularly useful for IT departments and professionals that need to quickly re-configure their current workstations to accommodate a new USB-C laptop or Ultrabook. The compact design of the adapter makes it convenient to use while traveling or working in BYOD environments where space is limited.
