Tripp Lite Expands Line of Managed Gigabit Switch-PDU Combos

Tripp Lite has introduced an expanded line of managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch PDU combos designed to connect devices such as computers, printers, and servers to a local area network (LAN).

Tripp Lite has introduced an expanded line of managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch PDU combos designed to connect devices such as computers, printers, and servers to a local area network (LAN).

The new network switch PDU combos feature a built-in ethernet network interface to allow full remote access. These energy-efficient managed switches provide the ability to manage, prioritize, and monitor LAN traffic and offer one or more ways to modify switch operation. With up to 24 ports per switch, managed switches are ideal for use in a small-to-medium distributed network.

Each unit is combined with a built-in network-grade power distribution unit (PDU), saving users both space and money. The entire switch/PDU combo unit fits in only 1U of rack space. The new devices are available with 16 or 24 auto-negotiating 10/100/1000Mbps ethernet ports, with built-in PDUs that provide up to 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets. The smart managed switches feature an RJ45 console port and command line interface (CLI), and PoE models are available.

“Today’s environment demands IT managers do more with less,” said Eric Cobb, Tripp Lite product manager. “Our new managed all-in-1U switches with PDU answers the call by combining two pieces of networking equipment into a single space- and money-saving unit.”
