It can't be easy to survive in these trying economic times. What creative solutions has your company tried to bring in business? What has worked and what hasn't worked?

I talked to a dealer in Florida who has been creating all kinds of aggressive promotions to lure potential customers into his showroom. He's definitely not sitting around and just waiting for business. He's being creative. Is it turning into sales? Not sure.

I , along with my partner, recently started our new company, Total Tech Services LLC. My former employer was like most, NOT ambitious. So... back into self employment i go. I've already secured work from numerous sources, sure there's less work now, than there was a couple years ago, but that hasn't slowed us down one bit from moving ahead. According to projections, we'll be out of the red, and into the black, within 6 months! Not too bad huh?
My suggestion, get off your lazy asses and go out and get the work that is still going on. Stop looking at the same old sources, and open your eyes to newer sources of work. It's out there, get up early and go get your slice of the pie!

I agree that you have to be more creative and aggressive than ever before. There are still people with money and still people who want to improve their homes. Not everyone needs a home equity loan to get the work paid for. Project scale may not be the same but the work is out there.
