Was CES time well spent?

I've always hated trade shows. In fact, I get a negative Pavlovian reaction just thinking about going to a CES or CEDIA (think stomach and headache).

I've learned to cope with my anxiety for the most part, but not a year goes by that I'm not battling a tension headache while racing from one booth appointment to another. Last week's CES was no exception. I'll have to say, however, that I got enough good meetings out of the event this year to convince me that the show is still relevant at least for next year. That's my take, but it may be a whole other story for a custom installation professional.

Did you go to CES this year? Did you think it was a waste of time or did you, like my good friend Greg Margolis (a high-end integration specialist in Dallas), seek out and find value in your visit? Tell us your thoughts.
