Capitol has hired two new B2B new business development specialists who are charged with bringing new dealers into the Capitol fold.

Jeffrey Amoako and Steve Semanek bring extensive backgrounds in new business creation for a wide variety of customers and employers, from entrepreneurial efforts and small businesses, to national and global companies.

“When it comes to building B2B relationships at the ground level, an aggressive distributorship like Capitol needs the support of professionals who understand a changing market, especially as it relates to small and independent businesses,” said Curt Hayes, president and CFO, Capitol. “Jeffrey and Steve have the experience and knowledge to be invaluable support systems to business professionals on the front line, and their breadth of experience instilled them with real empathy that comes from having walked in their customers’ shoes.”

Amoako joins Capitol after a successful 12-year run as a web entrepreneurship specialist, cultivating new online solutions to enhance existing services while introducing concepts for increasing revenue streams. Other positions included a role as a Director of Data Technology for a political candidate, and a sales associate for Guaranty Bank of Eagan, MN, where he brought in over 500M in new business accounts.

As a customer development representative for innovative web development company Go Daddy, Semanek worked with a variety of small to medium-sized businesses, consulting, and empowering existing and potential customers to easily start, confidently grow and successfully run their own ventures. Earlier roles found him working with some of the most successful dealers in Wisconsin, including SoundWorld and Suess Electronics.

In September, Capitol added the first two of now four B2B new business development specialists, Christopher Kane and Thomas Duggleby.
