Clare Controls has welcomed Brad Middleton to its sales team as the director of business development for Canada. Middleton will work closely with the integration, distribution, and builder channels to drive home the Clare Controls value proposition. Middleton joins Clare from Evolution Home Entertainment, where he was senior brand manager and responsible for driving sales and growth of Savant products as the exclusive Canadian distributor.

“We’ve seen tremendous growth due to Clare’s price point, ease of use, and scalability. This has prompted us to bring on Brad to drive growth in Canada, while giving our customers the support and resources they need to be profitable,” said Brett Price, Clare Controls CEO. “Brad’s proven track record of success and strong admiration for our business model will drive success for Clare and its Canadian customers.”

“Clare is on the right path to provide the everyday consumer with smart home technology. Its product lineup and vision allow more and more people to enjoy the benefits of integration,” said Middleton. “Clare’s interface is a step ahead of others and I look forward to demonstrating its value to a larger audience in Canada.”

Middleton brings more than 25 years of consumer electronics and AV experience to Clare. He started his career at Majestic, one of the largest Canadian CE Retailers. Middleton joined integration firm, Great Metropolitan Sound in 1998 as project manager, where he was responsible for implementing audio and AV solutions such as Crestron and Bang & Olufsen technologies. He joined Evolution Home Entertainment in 2008 and successfully launched Savant to the Canadian market in 2009 as the Savant Canadian Brand Manager. During his tenure at Evolution, he was instrumental in growing the business, making Canada one of the largest markets for Savant.
