Dave Chic has been promoted to the position of senior director of industry relations for CEDIA. In this role, Chic will lead the continued development and implementation of CEDIA’s strategic collaborations. Specifically, Dave will work with industry partner associations and like-minded groups to ensure that CEDIA is utilized as the expert source for home technology information and education.
“Providing CEDIA members with more visibility among the associate trades is an important focus for us. Dave has been instrumental in forging relationships with these groups and fostering an understanding of how CEDIA and our members can be a resource and partner. As a result, we have some very exciting programs and initiatives in the pipeline,” said Vin Bruno, CEDIA CEO.
Chic’s major focus is identifying and cultivating collaborations with organizations that will offer CEDIA and its members opportunities to heighten industry awareness of the value of working with a CEDIA professional. Among the organizations with which CEDIA collaborates are the National Association of Home Builders, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, and the American Institute of Building Design.
Chic joined CEDIA in 2006 as an industry outreach liaison. Prior to his tenure at CEDIA, he spent twenty years in the hospitality industry serving in various roles at the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association, Business Travel International, and the Indiana Roof Ballroom. A native Kentuckian, Chic is a 1982 graduate of the University of Louisville and has a degree in public relations and advertising.
