Domotz has appointed Clark Roundy as chief executive officer of Domotz Inc., the group’s subsidiary specialized in network monitoring and remote tech support systems for integration companies and IT professionals. Current group CEO and founder Domenico Crapanzano will assume the role of chairman and will continue overseeing the group’s strategy across its businesses, which also include the Fing network scanning app, and Domotz Insurtech, the group’s insurance business.

As CEO of Domotz Inc, Roundy’s first priority will be to drive growth of the Domotz network management platform in the home control and automation markets currently served by the company, while also pursuing expansion opportunities and partnerships in commercial and enterprise markets, as well as the broader security and IoT space.

“Clark is a successful entrepreneur with a proven track record for evolving scale-ups into successful enterprises. This is the perfect time for him to take the reins at Domotz,” said Domenico Crapanzano, chairman and founder of the Domotz Group. “Clark is unique in his ability to translate vision and strategy into execution, bringing together teams and ecosystems to drive results. These qualities make him ideal for leading our Domotz business into its next chapter, which I am confident will be even more impactful and exciting than our last.”

Roundy is a 25-year technology industry veteran, having held key executive positions at Linux Networx, Penguin Computing, Parvus Corporation, Alta Technology, and the Eyring Research Institute. Most recently he served as VP of marketing and product management at Luxul Wireless, which was acquired by Legrand in April of 2016. Throughout his career, Roundy has worked extensively with early stage and emerging companies to identify core competencies and implement key growth strategies.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Domotz team into this next phase of growth,” Roundy said. “Domenico has built an extremely competent and motivated core team that has done an outstanding job delivering a suite of products that have been well received. With this excellent foundation to build on, the company is well positioned for growth and the opportunity that lies ahead for Domotz is tremendous. We will be focused on accelerating the innovation and execution needed to give more partners and customers a world-class platform that will help change the way they deliver products and services.”

As part of this announcement, the company also disclosed that U.S. headquarters will be located in the Salt Lake City, UT metropolitan area, a region well known as a technology center and often referred to as the “Silicon Slopes.” Its European headquarters will remain in London.
