Fusion Research has just released a new setup utility for its line of music servers. The new utility features a step-by-step wizard as well as a new configuration assistant tool. The utility is available as an executable program that may be downloaded directly from the company’s website, www.fusionrd.com. There is a short video touring the new wizard on the support page of the website.
“We wanted to create a setup utility that automates, as well as simplifies, the whole dealer installation,” said Alex Fanti, CTO of Fusion Research. “Among its other features, it streamlines the iTunes and other remote music folder synchronization process.”
Another key feature of the wizard is the integration guides for the various drivers that Fusion has created for home automation partners such as Control4, URC, RTI, Elan g!, Savant, Crestron, Niles, and SpeakerCraft. These guides show dealers how to install the drivers step-by-step, as well as allow them to click on links to automatically store needed information from the Ovation server for the driver setup.
The Ovation Setup Wizard can be used on any Ovation music server shipped before May 2014. Any older unit can be upgraded to allow for the wizard’s use.
