Russound brought Kenneth Johnsen aboard yesterday in the position of senior product specialist. The announcement was made by Russound’s CEO, Charlie Porritt.
“Kenneth is one of those professionals who can translate everything that is important about a product, technology, or sales and marketing program into terms that speak to our customers’ best interests,” said Porritt. “From the moment we started a dialog with him, the consensus here was that his product knowledge and talents as a master communicator will make him a crucial part of our front line.”
Primarily, Johnsen’s role will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with partners throughout the custom integration market.
“My heart, soul, and career are steeped in the audio business, and no brand is more committed to the market than Russound,” said Johnsen. “I believe one of the main reasons for the company’s success and longevity is [its] singular focus on distributed audio, while at the same time aggressively pursuing integration partnerships with some of the leading names in CI.”
Prior to joining Russound, Johnsen served as international training manager for Core Brands from 2012 to 2015, where he developed, coordinated, and managed training efforts for 12 distinct brands. Earlier in his career, he held similar positions with the AVC Group, LLC, and sales and product management roles at Niles Audio Corporation.
