MRI will host its annual electronics exposition, and although the distributor is regionally specific to the Northeast market, it hopes to be a national event. The expo will take place on Tuesday, October 28 from 9:00am – 6:00pm at the Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center.

“Each year we look forward to meeting with integrators and home technology specialists and work hard to deliver a variety of innovative sessions, including high-level product trainings from industry-leading manufacturers,” said Robert Dean, president of MRI. “This year we are especially excited to reveal our keynote, which will address the most talked about trends, applications and growth opportunities afforded by the connected home.”

With the growing popularity of the smart home and “Internet of Things,” this year’s expo attendees will be treated to a dynamic dialogue lead by Lutron’s sales director for residential systems, Blake Deal. Deal will reflect on the rapidly changing connected home landscape while exploring some of the industry’s key players and their impact on consumer adoption. From Apple and Google to Comcast, ADT and DIY solutions, Deal will breakdown where the opportunity lies for today’s electronics professionals as well as where Lutron and various other CE manufacturers feel the industry is heading.

Among the Expo’s most popular trainings, will be WiFi networking from Luxul, creating scalable, affordable and expandable control systems with URC and the Google-delivered session for dealers interested in becoming a Nest pro. New to this year’s docket will be a social media presentation geared towards helping dealers better leverage prominent social media platforms (Facebook Twitter, LinkedIn and Houzz) to build a stronger digital brand presence as well as find, keep and serve new business leads.

Alongside interactive trainings, guests will have the opportunity to network one-on-one with the industry’s top vendors, access live demonstrations and displays, as well as take advantage of exclusive incentives including buy-ins, special purchases and demo programs. This year’s event will also feature the highly-anticipated Dolby Atmos demo, complete with a dedicated theater room.
