NHT Announces Two New Directors as Byrne Exits

On the heels of Co-Founder Chris Byrne’s retirement announced earlier this month, NHT has added Dave Working as director of sales and marketing.

On the heels of co-founder Chris Byrne’s retirement, which was announced in January, NHT has added Dave Working, a 30-year veteran of the CE Industry, as director of sales and marketing. Working has owned, acquired, and run several successful businesses in independent retail and custom integration during his career.

“Dave is a perfect fit with NHT,” said Byrne. “Dave has been a significant customer for over 20 years, and as such he knows our products, our philosophies, and has solid ideas about where and how NHT should grow. He’s a focused hands-on manager, very creative and understands the needs of our dealers and consumers.”

Working founded his first business, Pacific Coast Audio Video, an independent specialty retail store in Corona Del Mar, CA. As Custom integration became grew as an industry, he sold his operation after 13 years and moved back to the Portland, Oregon area where he once lived attending Lewis & Clark College, to open Cinematouch Systems. He sold Cinematouch in 2014 and has been consulting until accepting the position at NHT.

“Chris and I talked at the recent CEDIA convention in Dallas,” said Working; “I have always loved the NHT brand, it’s people and products.” “ I bought in years ago and you won’t find a more dedicated fan base in audio.”

In addition to Working’s appointment, NHT announced that Jonathan Sun, the company’s in-house IT manager, was promoted to director of operations. Sun is a graduate and former employee of UC San Diego and has a B.S. degree in Psychology – Behavioral Neuroscience.

“Jon is one of the brightest, most resourceful young men I have encountered in many years,” said Byrne. “He has a great feel for product and understands the manufacturing and logistics issues a CE brand faces. NHT is lucky to have him on board.

“I believe I am leaving NHT in good hands and that the brand will thrive because of both Dave and Jon’s efforts”, added Byrne.
