Severtson Screens Names Toby Severtson President and CEO

May 21, 2014
Severtson Screens, a global leader in innovative and quality projection screens for the home theater, commercial, and pro AV markets, revealed today that Toby Severtson has been named the company’s president and chief executive officer effective immediately. Severtson Screens founder and owner Ron Severtson remains chairman of the board and will dedicate more time to product R&D.
Toby Severtson will serve as president and chief executive officer of Severtson Screens, with Rob Severtso remaining chairman of the board.
“I am looking forward to help continuing the tradition of what my father has built over the past 25 years,” explained Toby Severtson, who comes to the family business after spending the past 18 years at Motorola in various IT managerial capacities, most recently as senior director. “As Severtson Screens continues to grow into the home theater market, and as we expand even further into the cinema market, we realized that we needed my father to dedicate even more time to R&D, since he is a pioneering visionary in these industries. As I take on the responsibilities of the president and chief executive officer, he can also dedicate more time to take the company’s product offerings to the next level.”

Severtson’s extensive experience in manufacturing small home theater screens and large cinema screens has given Severtson Corporation the expertise to meet the needs of the professional and consumer AV markets for both indoor applications as well as large outdoor venues.

“What I love to do is develop new and exciting products,” explained Ron Severtson. “Having my son, Toby, step in and take control of the business side of the company will allow me to do just that and to also help pursue other opportunities to further grow the business.”

With its three Arizona-based production facilities and its state-of-the-art robotic application system, Severtson has massive production capabilities and an unusually wide array of screens – scaling in size for use in major movie theater chains down to home theaters and everything in between -- available to its clients.
