Sonance Launches Adjustable-Width Soundbars

Sonance is now accepting presale orders for its first adjustable-width Soundbars, utilizing a 3-way design.

Sonance is now accepting presale orders for its first adjustable-width Soundbars, utilizing a 3-way design.

Featuring a patent-pending adjustment system, the two models will allow the installer to perfectly match the width of any display between 50 and 80 inches.

Built on materials developed for the next generation of Visual Performance Series, Sonance Soundbars utilize a 3-way speaker design. Each channel features a coaxial 1-inch powder-coated aluminum Tweeter and a 4-inch laminated Kevlar and Nomex Midrange, paired with dual laminated Kevlar and Nomex high excursion Woofers. The LCR configuration and passive design will allow the system integrator to utilize the amplifier or AV receiver of their choice.

“We are extremely excited to be entering the Soundbar market,” said Chris Easter, product manager for Sonance. “Our exclusive patent-pending adjustable width design will eliminate long lead times commonly associated with custom manufacturing and reduce the risk of being stuck with an incompatible product should the display change between ordering and installation. This feature will also allow the installer to adjust the width of the Soundbar in the future when the client upgrades their display.”

Constructed from materials including aircraft grade extruded aluminum and powder-coated perforated steel, Sonance Soundbars feature clean simple lines and a satin-black finish that provides an understated look to complement the design of today’s flat screen displays, the company says.

Both Soundbars feature a 2 9/16-inch (64.9mm) shallow construction and will be shipped complete with hardware for VESA display mount, key hole wall mount and table-top installation.
