Steren Makes First Foray into Custom

August 17, 2012

On September 1, Steren Electronics International, a San Diego-based manufacturer of voice, video, and data electronic solutions, is launching Sequence by Steren, its first product line designed specifically for the custom install industry.

For the most part, though, Steren will go to market through dealer-direct relationships, employing a network of manufacturer’s reps.

Sequence blends high design and high fidelity with ease of installation, according to the company.

“Sequence by Steren is the ultimate combination of value, performance, and style. Our new products enhance today’s listening environments and lifestyles to ensure an impactful experience for homeowners,” said Darren Rawson, president of Steren Electronics Group. “We are excited to offer installers an extraordinary array of products that will fit seamlessly into any home.”

The Sequence speaker collection includes in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, indoor/outdoor speakers, and subwoofers.

Sequence mounting hardware provides quick installation solutions with minimal components, effortless adjustments, and features to accommodate most installation applications. Designed for strength and flexibility, these VESA-compatible mounts offer unique designs along with full motion capabilities from tilting to fully articulating.

Sequence installation accessories have been designed for applications ranging from pre-installation speaker kits to volume controls.

According to director of marketing communications, Linda Carucci, the new line goes well beyond what Steren has manufactured for the last 56 years in terms of voice, video & data solutions, and basic install products such as wire, cables, connectors, and other hardware.

Carucci confirmed that the company has a long-standing relationship with distributors at the local and national level and will still allow them access to this new Sequence by Steren CI product line. For the most part, though, Steren will go to market through dealer-direct relationships, employing a network of manufacturer’s reps.

“When we do make the line available to our distribution partners, we will structure our pricing tiers and line access to protect the dealer network,” she said.

Steren Electronics will be hosting a cocktail reception during CEDIA EXPO 2012, Thursday, September 6, from 4-6 p.m., in the Embassy Suites Consulate Room.
