Full-Array LED backlighting offers an even distribution of light for superior uniformity as compared to edge-lit TVs, and up to 32 active LED zones deliver precise, controlled backlighting with extremely high contrast and deep black levels. Active Pixel Tuning enables pixel-level adjustments of brightness for increased picture accuracy and contrast. For the fast-action lover or sports enthusiast, the M-Series lineup boasts up to Clear Action 720 with 240Hz effective refresh rate achieved with backlight scanning. These technologies, combined with powerful image processing, allow for sharper detail and help to ensure fast-moving scenes appear clearer than ever.

The M-Series UltraHD collection gives consumers a great reason to upgrade with additional UltraHD apps and more native UltraHD content options available. The collection features the latest-generation VIZIO Smart TV platform, VIZIO Internet Apps Plus, and is equipped with HEVC decoding, ultra-fast 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi and VIZIO’s V6 six-core processor. This translates into a fast, easy-to-use experience for the consumer, with access to great content from many of the latest apps, including UltraHD content from Netflix, UltraFlix, and Toon Goggles. Support for HDCP 2.2 allows playback of protected UltraHD content, while the latest HDMI 2.0 standard enables UltraHD playback at 60Hz. This helps to ensure consumers using next-generation cable and satellite receivers, Blu-ray players, and game consoles will have support for UltraHD content playback.

“VIZIO is committed to ensuring UltraHD technology is an accessible, mainstream technology,” said Matt McRae, chief technology officer, VIZIO. “Consumers are seeking UltraHD for a more immersive, high-quality picture, but are also in search of room-filling sound and deep bass to help bring that picture to life. Powerful audio solutions like the VIZIO 40-inch 5.1 Sound Bar System complete the home entertainment experience, further enhancing on-screen content. Our latest M-Series lineup and audio products give consumers what they’re looking for, to outfit any room in the house.”

To complement the stunning picture quality of the M-Series collection, VIZIO is releasing details on its new home theater sound bar systems, which will soon be available through key retailers in the Canadian market. As the main fixture in the all-new 2015 collection, the flagship 40-inch 5.1 Sound Bar System outputs clear, powerful sound and lines up with any 47-inch-or-larger class TV. The 40-inch 5.1 Sound Bar System boasts a true 5.1 surround sound experience thanks to the three-channel sound bar, wireless subwoofer, and dual rear satellite speakers, outputting at total a sound pressure level of 102 dB with less than one percent total harmonic distortion.

HDMI support gives consumers great audio connection to their TV and other AV devices, while Bluetooth with aptX enables CD-quality wireless streaming via supported devices. Built-in Dolby Digital surround-sound provides a dramatic special dimension and enhanced audio for an engaging listening experience, while DTS audio technologies, including DTS Digital Surround, DTS TruVolume and others, further enhance the audio experience to provide deep bass, crisp audio detail, clear vocals, and intelligent volume leveling.
