Capitol will release a series of informational videos on its YouTube channel this month.

Capitol will release a series of informational videos on its YouTube channel this month. The series, “A Minute with Mike,” is hosted by Mike Marko, a 12-year veteran of Capitol’s Technical Sales & Design team. These short videos will focus on a new product or solution of interest to the residential and light commercial technology installation markets.

“YouTube is a fun and effective channel for educating our customers about new products and solutions,” said Curt Hayes, Capitol’s President and CFO. “And given how well the ‘A Minute with Mike’ series has been received, we plan on making it a more frequent method of informing our customers about the latest products and technologies they need to succeed.”

Debuting this week, the latest addition to the “A Minute with Mike” series introduces the Atlas Sound AA35 three-input mixer amplifier for business paging and background music. The durable 35-Watt amp is an ideal solution for light commercial contractors serving the retail sector.

The next video will demonstrate Lutron’s automated shades. Over the next few weeks, Capitol will roll out additional videos focusing on NEC leasing; the benefits of BenQ Integrator’s Choice projectors; the Niles MRC6430 multi-room audio control system with remote, keypad, and touchscreen; the JBL EON206P portable PA system; why the Panamax Power360 protection and charging stations are essential in a multitude of applications; and the many benefits of the Panasonic KX-NS700 IP-based phone system.

The video series premiered in July 2014 with a look at Soundcast’s Melody portable wireless outdoor speaker system. Other segments have showcased digital signage solutions from IAdea; NEAR’s outdoor speakers and the advantages of installing in-ground speakers; why Xantech’s new Ensemble universal IR kit is such a good all-in-one solution; how to distribute HD video to multiple TVs over standard coax with ZeeVee’s HD modulators; and, most recently, the introduction of Legrand’s Adorne wireless video intercom system.

Mike Marko, a CEDIA certified instructor who has been teaching classes at the Expo since 2004, joined Capitol Sales Company in January 2002 as a member of the Technical Sales and Design staff. His background includes more than 25 years in the residential and commercial electronics industry. Marko has an extensive understanding of technologies in audio/video, telecom, data, security, mobile electronics, and more.
