CEA Renews Demo Days Program

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) will sponsor a second set of Demo Days this year, helping consumers learn about, and generate their excitement for, products designed to enhance the home entertainment experience.

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) will sponsor a second set of Demo Days this year, helping consumers learn about, and generate their excitement for, products designed to enhance the home entertainment experience.

This nationwide program encourages customers to visit their local consumer electronics retailers for in-store events throughout October, letting them experience first-hand the latest in high-resolution audio and enhanced video technologies, including 4K Ultra HDTV and Connected TV. Through the website, consumers can access a national dealer locator and find their nearest consumer electronics retailers. The Demo Days program allows retailers to run their event any weekend in October, enabling them to choose a date that works best for them, their customers and their location.

“This is our fifth year supporting the Demo Days program, giving consumers the chance to see, touch and try the latest and greatest in consumer technology,” said Jeff Joseph, senior vice president of communications and strategic relationships, CEA. “By visiting their local retailers, consumers can get a quality demonstration and find out why we say, seeing is believing. We encourage retailers to take part in this program to demonstrate the latest in television and high-resolution audio.”

CEA has partnered with Revenew to provide retailers with free, integrated co-branded marketing toolkits, allowing them to easily promote their event to customers and help increase traffic in their stores. The Revenue marketing network will provide dealers with both the digital marketing campaign and the platform to run it. The robust suite of creative elements includes an event microsite, banner ads, dealer website content, Facebook ads, a Facebook app, direct mail, print ads, in-store posters and a three-touch email campaign.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with CEA to support this fall’s Demo Days program with marketing content and tools on Revenew,” said Omar Albertelli, VP of national accounts at Revenew. “These events give local retailers great exposure and allow customers to experience these advanced technologies as they are meant to be experienced – in person.”

Retailers interested in participating in CE Demo Days can sign up here. This will be the second Demo Days of 2014 to focus on audio video retailers. The spring event included participation from 441 locations across the country.
