Clare Controls and Building Homes for Heroes have teamed up to deliver home automation packages to vets. Building Homes for Heroes is a non-profit dedicated to providing homes to severely wounded American service members and their families.

An area provider of residential technologies, homeNETservice, will also participate in the delivery of an electronic lifestyle package for the new home of U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Joseph Deslauriers and his family, specifically.

The Clare team has been working with the family to design and install a home automation system to meet the unique needs of the Deslauriers’ lifestyle. Their automated home will include automated door locks, lighting, and water valve sensors, in addition to video surveillance throughout the house to keep an eye on the property and the children, plus audio surround sound and TVs on swing mounts. All of these devices are easy to manage with a single Clare Controls app on the family’s Apple and Android devices.

Brett Price, Clare’s CEO stated, “Our biggest hope is that the Deslauriers can have a home that makes every day routines more manageable. Joe’s family is growing, and having a well-built, automated home makes a meaningful contribution to their safety, comfort, and mobility. You can participate in reaching this goal by visiting our Building Homes for Heroes page where your donation will help complete the project. Giving the gift of whole home control to Master Sgt. Deslauriers is, by far, Clare’s most impactful undertaking in home automation.”

Chad Gottlieb, national director of Construction for Building Homes for Heroes remarked, “We are incredibly thankful for Clare Controls commitment to our mission to provide mortgage free smart homes to our nation’s severely injured heroes. USAF Master Sgt. Deslauriers has overcome major obstacles with the severity of his injury, and a new automated home will provide him and his family with amazing comforts, convenience, security, and accessibility. All of which will aid in Joe’s recovery, and making their home-owning experience more meaningful.”

Bruce Lindsay, president and owner of homeNETservice said, “The Deslauriers family is truly inspirational, and homeNETservice is proud to be a part of creating a place for them to call home.”
