Dana to Show CEDIA EXPO Product Award Finalists

Dana Innovations, parent company of Sonance, iPort and TRUFIG, is featuring new product introductions and active demonstrations at CEDIA EXPO 2014, showcasing three CEDIA Best New Product Award Finalists.

LaunchPort with Buttons – CEDIA Best New Product Award Finalist, 2014

LaunchPort with Buttons delivers the best of both worlds – the powerful and feature-rich interface of an iPad combined with the convenience of hard buttons. The buttons work independently of the iPad to deliver instant access of events without having to launch an App. LaunchPort with Buttons utilizes Lutron Clear Connect technology and can be programmed to directly integrate into any Lutron RF system. LaunchPort with Buttons also works with various control systems, e.g. Savant, RTI, Control4, Crestron, etc.) through one of three Lutron interface devices: HomeWorks QS processor, RadioRA2 Repeater, or Caséta Smart Bridge Pro. LaunchPort with Buttons works with an AM.2 iPad mini Sleeve to deliver the added reliability and convenience of LaunchPort’s exclusive inductive charging and magnetic mounting system – ensuring the iPad is always charged and easily located. LaunchPort with Buttons ships with a variety of labeled button to suit a wide range of applications including lighting, shades, audio, video, multimedia and more.

Architectural Series Discreet Opening System – CEDIA Best New Product Award Finalist, 2014
Architectural Series Discreet Opening System delivers unprecedented sound quality via a revolutionary system approach to distributed audio. The finished product exactly matches the footprint of small aperture down lights for minimal distraction and maximum performance. The system utilizes four AS38RS 2-Way Speakers combined with either one or two BPS6 Bandpass Subwoofers to deliver superior clarity, detail and bass response. The Satellites and Subwoofer(s) utilize the same grille size and shape for consistency, while the configuration delivers more even coverage and superior tonality throughout a space than with traditional loudspeakers. The TRUFIG-inspired mounting platforms deliver a high-quality, repeatable installation process in drywall, plaster, wood and other solid surfaces and the unique form-factor provides far greater positioning flexibility, allowing more accurate alignment and spacing with downlights, and other ceiling fixtures.

Sonance Adjustable-Width Soundbar – CEDIA Best New Product Award Finalist, 2014
Sonance Soundbars join LaunchPort with Buttons and Architectural Series Discreet Opening System as a finalist in the 2014 CEDIA Best New Product Awards. Since its unveiling at CEDIA 2013 as the “world’s first adjustable-width Soundbar”; this revolutionary product design has simplified the life of custom installers by eliminating long lead times associated with custom one-off products. With two models that perfectly match the width of any display between 50” and 80” and a 3-way design built on Sonance’s award winning Visual Performance Series technology, these elegant and understated Soundbars deliver best-in-class sonic performance, crystal clear dialogue and a wide sound stage that was described by one reviewer as coming “close to the dynamics and sheer brute force of a full-size 5.1 home theater system.” Sonance Soundbars are shipped with mounting hardware for bracket mount (VESA compatible) wall mount, and tabletop installation.
