By RS Staff November 21,2012

Leaf's LTHDMI2020E 20x20 Matrix Switcher is now Control4 Certified, after passing rigorous interoperability tests to ensure the switcher would integrate seamlessly with Control4 automation systems. Leaf LTHDMI2020E

Additionally, the 20x20 matrix switcher is now available through Control4 Online Ordering. Designed for the Control4 dealer network, online ordering allows Control4 dealers to place both Control4 and third-party partner products on the same order, which dramatically simplifies the sourcing, shipment, and back-end accounting processes.

"As the industry's first 20x20 matrix switcher, Leaf offers a unique Control4 Certified AV solution," said Dean Vaughan, director of sales and marketing at Leaf. "Complete with 4 HDMI and 16 HDBaseT outputs, and delivering an over 300 foot range with sixteen HDBaseT LTB1E remote breakout units, the 20x20 is equipped to receive audio and video from up to 52 potential sources while enabling unprecedented whole-home AV distribution."

In addition to 20, full-1080p HDMI 1.4 inputs, there are 16 SPDIF (coax) digital audio and 16 analog audio outputs that enable the centralized racking of power amplifiers while eliminating the need for a separate audio switcher. Sixteen bi-directional IR ports, plus RS-232, allow passing of control signals to remote devices, all while a sleek front-panel touchscreen makes setup a breeze.

To minimize EDID errors, the Zone Lock feature provides the ability to lock a source to a particular zone. Locking the source to the zone allows the passage of specific EDID data ensuring that the display and source correctly interact. This is useful in systems where only certain displays are possible—for example, 3D, or where locking out a certain source from other zones is desired.

"Control4 has long held the view that in order to drive home automation adoption, everything in the home must work together," said Jim Arnold, senior vice president of sales at Control4. "Control4 Certified products improve the operation of home theaters, multi-room music, lighting, temperature control, energy management, and security by improving both compatibility and functionality before installation. We are pleased to add Leaf to our valuable list of partner brands. "

The Leaf LTHDMI2020E has an introductory MSRP of $15,000.00, plus $350 per LTB1E breakout unit and is currently available through Control4 dealers.
