Momentum Group, a manufacturer’s representative in the residential channel, has added Rich McPherson to its team.
McPherson’s responsibilities will include residential account management as well as management of the new commercial division. McPherson brings many years of commercial, residential and lighting control experience to Momentum.
Prior to joining Momentum Group, Rich was the general manager, Western U.S. for 1 Touch Control, creating the first presence in the west for this Atlanta based AV programming and technical outsourcing company. McPherson was the branch manager in the mountain states, and consultant market manager in the southeast for Crestron Electronics from 2007 until joining 1 Touch Control. In these roles, McPherson helped grow these territories, opening new relationships with dealers and end users, and dramatically increasing company earnings.
Prior to his time at Crestron, McPherson served as the general manager for an Atlanta based residential integrator, solving effectiveness and efficiency issues in the technical team. In addition, McPherson’s background includes experience as an electronic design engineer for various audio and video related companies. In these roles his responsibilities ultimately grew to include Engineering, Production, Customer Support and IT management.
McPherson completed his undergraduate work in Electrical Engineering at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
