Moon Returns to CEA as VP, Int’l Sales

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has named Brian Moon to vice president of international sales.

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has named Brian Moon to vice president of international sales. Moon served as a member of the International CES sales and business development team from 2003 to 2009, as national accounts manager. He previously worked with the National Restaurant Association (NRA) where he was vice president of convention sales and allied membership since 2009.

“I’m pleased to welcome Brian back to CEA,” said CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro. “His vibrant personality, passion, talent and commitment to CES will help us cultivate and service the relationships CEA has with its exhibitors as we look to expand the CES brand.”

Karen Chupka, senior vice president of International CES and corporate strategy, echoed Shapiro’s remarks. “It’s always a pleasure to welcome back a former CEA employee. We’re especially excited to have Brian with us as we prepare to launch our new show, International CES Asia. Brian’s skills and expertise will ensure that those exhibiting in CES Asia will receive the same customer service quality synonymous with the CES brand.”

At NRA, Moon was responsible for directing and managing all U.S. and international exhibit sales and sponsorships efforts for the NRA Show and the International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event. His responsibilities also included heading membership recruitment for the supplier community to the restaurant industry.

In his new role, Moon will oversee and manage key exhibitor accounts that are headquartered outside of the United States. This includes participation and activity in International CES Asia, which provides a unique opportunity for global companies with operations in China to expand their market share and showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace.

Moon is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in professional & technical communication. He enjoys sports, especially rooting for the RIT men’s ice hockey team, dining out, and considers himself to be an amateur foodie. He is also certified in exhibition management.
