ProSource Integrator Program Boasts Rapid Growth

ProSource hosted a record Power Dealer Meeting in Milwaukee this month, indicating strong growth for the group as a whole. The ProSource Power Dealer program represents top integrators in the country with a minimum of $3M in business.

ProSource—a division of BrandSource and the biggest integration, audio, and video buying group in the country—hosted a record Power Dealer Meeting in Milwaukee this month, indicating strong growth for the group as a whole. The ProSource Power Dealer program represents top integrators in the country with a minimum of $3M in business. This year, nearly 50 Power Dealers attended the annual three-day intensive meeting, along with more than 30 vendors, making it the largest Power Dealer Meeting since its inception two years ago.

“We are very excited that our Power Dealer program has become so vibrant,” says Sherry Dantonio, ProSource director of membership.

“Participation in the ProSource Power Dealer Meetings gives the ProSource vendor the ability to capture a large audience of top integrators in the industry,” says Bryan Koutsky, director custom retail & buying groups at Control4. “Doing so allows executives from the vendor to get live feedback in one setting over three days versus flying to each dealer individually. It is Control4’s experience that this format is really successful. It also allows the dealer to share their experience with the leadership group of the vendor community. Both parties are there to learn from each other to grow our mutual business together. In the latest Power Meeting in Milwaukee, we identified nine dealers that were not doing business with us today, and coming out of the show, we have seven solid leads that we should be able to close over the next 60 days.”

Power Dealers are completely hosted for the three-day convention by ProSource, which is a huge benefit considering all the event’s educational, business, and networking opportunities. For example, members participated in several roundtable discussions on best practices, such as how to compete with national automation companies, recruit young talent, manage communication on a project, and more. Guest speaker Joe Higgins took the Power Dealer Meeting beyond industry-specific topics with his presentation on High Performance Company Culture.

A welcome reception at Milwaukee Ale House kicked off the event, giving dealers and vendors a chance to network in a casual and fun environment. On the second and third days, Power Dealers were given the opportunity to meet one-on-one with top executives from ProSource vendor partners, including new vendors to ProSource Alarm.com and Leon Speakers. Finally, Power Dealers were also treated to a tailgate party and Milwaukee Brewers baseball game at Miller Park.

“We are very excited that our Power Dealer program has become so vibrant,” says Sherry Dantonio, ProSource director of membership. “For the last couple of years we have been encouraging our members to apply for Power Dealer status, and the program is really starting to gain steam. The hugely successful Power Dealer Meeting is an example of this, and proved to be an incredible networking, social, business, and educational opportunity for ProSource vendors and members. We look forward to continue building Power Dealer membership and ProSource membership at large so that we can continue to offer unparalleled programs and events like this one.”
