CEDIA Adds Technical and Business Resources at cedia.net

CEDIA has released new video lessons, eCourses, and reference documents, now available at CEDIA's online business and technical training library, cedia.net.

CEDIA has released new video lessons, eCourses, and reference documents, now available at CEDIA’s online business and technical training library, cedia.net.

The latest additions include a variety of HDMI resources, a new white paper dedicated to troubleshooting, and a series of business-focused offerings.

Since launching the new cedia.net in December, CEDIA has continued to build on the library of technical and business resources available. New HDMI resources include five new interactive lessons and two new reference documents, as well as eCourses and video lessons.

The new white paper, Troubleshooting for the Home Technology Professional, draws from the basics of troubleshooting covered in CEDIA training and in the CEDIA Technical Reference Manual. This content addresses the five steps of troubleshooting, do’s and don’ts, and common questions that crop up during troubleshooting.

“Troubleshooting has been a topic on our list to cover for quite some time,” said Dave Pedigo, senior director of learning and emerging trends. “Now home technology professionals have a quick reference they can use while they’re on the job or as they’re prepping for a job. Troubleshooting can often take a lot of time, especially if not done properly. There are basic protocols professionals can follow to reduce both stress and the drain of time.”

More business tools have also been made available in the resource library. Video lessons on selling your expertise and selling upgrades have been added as well as several business templates and tools from the CEDIA Business Toolkit webinar series.

CEDIA members enjoy free access or highly discounted rates on all of these resources. Non members may browse the training and resource catalog and purchase items a la carte. Individuals may log on or create an account on the new cedia.net.
