Crestron has hired Richard Kurtzer as its residential market development manager for the northeast region. He joins Crestron from VCom International Multimedia Corp. where he held positions as brand manager and national accounts manager.

In his new role, Kurtzer has been asked to expand the total market demand for Crestron residential control and automation solutions by fostering relationships with interior designers, architects, and home builders.

Kurtzer also will lead the Crestron Interior Design Partner (IDP) Program in the Northeast. He will drive the planning and execution of marketing initiatives tailored to the design build community, including educational events, seminars, conferences, partnerships, and sponsorships.

With Richard’s expertise, we look forward to educating the design build community about the opportunities available to blend technology into their projects.”

Kurtzer brings more than seven years of experience in the custom electronics industry, specializing in product sourcing, product development, sales support, outside sales, and marketing. He joined VCom while pursuing a degree in business. At VCom, Kurtzer managed K-12 electronics brand, Hamilton Buhl, and network digital signage solutions provider, Gallery Digital Signage. In this position, he developed relationships with the InfoComm industry and increased sales and awareness of his clients' solutions and services.
