Soundcast Adds Online Pricing Projection

By RS Staff April 24,2012

Soundcast Systems, the Chula Vista, CA-based wireless audio products manufacturer has signed a contract with Channel IQ to identify online violators of minimum advertised price (MAP) policy.

Channel IQ’s software monitors online retail activity and enforces MAP pricing compliance, around the clock. When infractions are spotted, findings are reported instantly with an alert notification, which enables immediate action to minimize infringement damages.

Soundcast Systems is taking this proactive step to enforce MAP because, the company said, it understands the critical importance of maintaining brand integrity for its dealers, distributors, and the marketplace. The MAP policy defines its advertising guidelines for online as well as brick-and-mortar stores to deliver a consistent shopping experience for its customers and support its brand’s value.

“Channel IQ provides real-time, online promotion and pricing information that will empower us to monitor and manage our products profitably by handling channel issues and competitive situations immediately,” said Mike Weaver, president of Soundcast Systems. "I anticipate great results for Soundcast and our dealers with this new, innovative monitoring service on board.”
