Thiel Audio Appoints National Sales Manager

Thiel Audio has appointed Stephen DeFuria as national sales manager effective immediately.

DeFuria had been most recently employed by Tempo High Fidelity as the North American sales manager for Musical Fidelity, a UK-based audio electronics manufacturer.
 
For over ten years beginning in 2001, DeFuria was the national sales manager for NAD Electronics, where he worked closely with newly appointed board member and Thiel interim COO Bob Brown. With NAD, DeFuria was responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing in the United States including direct management of independent reps, U.S. market pricing of all NAD products, training initiatives and trade show management.
 
Earlier in his career, DeFuria was the principal of Audio Vision, a Boston-area high fidelity retailer that he acquired in 1984 and then continued in audio retail for some 19 years.

“I sold Thiel for 15 years and it was a very critical part of my product mix,” DeFuria said. “I have enormous respect for the company’s heritage and long legacy of high performance loudspeakers. The challenge of helping Thiel navigate this new era of music delivery is a tremendous opportunity.”

It’s hard to imagine someone more uniquely qualified to lead the sales and marketing initiative for this storied brand.”
