TiO Appoints Clark to Product Manager

TiO, a new technology brand offering a new approach to home automation, has hired consumer and custom electronics industry veteran Colin Clark as product manager.

Clark brings nearly 20 years of industry experience to the role, which entails applying the company’s “outside-in” philosophy to drive product development—focusing on providing the best possible customer experience.

“Colin offers an unparalleled level of product development experience to TiO that will translate into better and more significant advancements to our catalog of user-friendly solutions,” said Mike Anderson, president of TiO’s parent company Automated Control Technology Partners (ACTP), “His mastery of every step of supply chain management from conceptualization through integration will translate into numerous technology improvements. Our goal is to assemble the best team, all of whom contribute perspective and add to product analysis and evaluation, and Colin will be a key driver of that process.”

TiO is a full-featured home automation ecosystem that is easy to install and configure. The introductory suite of products, which are scheduled to ship prior to CEDIA, feature Wi-Fi-based streaming, multi-zone audio, wireless lighting and climate control. On the heels of CEDIA EXPO 2013 in September, TiO plans to introduce a second round of products focused on easy third-party integration and support for the most popular security, camera and entertainment subsystems. Clark will be pivotal in the development and deployment of those new products and future generations of solutions.

Clark holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate from Florida International University and has translated his experience and training into various management roles while working with technology manufacturers, integrators and distributors. He previously served in multiple management and product development roles for Niles Audio Corporation for over16 years and most recently functioned as a Business Unit Manager for SnapAV.
