Core Brands Appoints New Director of CI Sales

Adding additional sales support for the custom installation channel, Core Brands has appointed Scott Ashbaugh to the position of director of CI distribution sales.

Adding additional sales support for the custom installation channel, Core Brands has appointed Scott Ashbaugh to the position of director of CI distribution sales. His principal responsibility is to build channel sales for the Niles, Panamax, and Xantech brands and will report directly to Core Brands SVP of sales Dave Keller.

“Core Brands is introducing an unprecedented number of innovative new products and system solutions to the CI Distribution channel,” Keller said. “Concurrent with this expanding product marketing program we are strengthening our channel sales team to provide distributors with all of the support they need to succeed. Scott Ashbaugh has the experience, skills, and commitment needed to help distributors grow their sales. We are excited to have him join our sales team.”

Scott Ashbaugh comes to Core Brands from Ingram Micro Consumer Electronics, where he served as the senior business development executive since 2013, responsible for generating revenue, profit, and advancing market share with new and existing customers. Prior to this he served as senior manager, key account sales at Ingram Micro from 2012 to 2013. From 2003 until 2012 Scott held a number of positions at OmniMount, Inc./Ergotron, Inc, including marketing services manager (2003-2007), director of sales operations — U.S. and exports (2007-2009), senior director of global sales operations (2009-2010), and vice president of global sales operations (2010-2012).

Ashbaugh began his career in the consumer electronics industry at Ultimate Electronics/SoundTrack starting as a sales person and promoted to buyer from 1993-2003. He was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration by the University of Phoenix in 1996. He also studied broadcasting at the National Education Center in 1990 and was an on-air personality at WMGF in Orlando, FL.
