Literally the newest downtown destination for Atlanta is the Luckie Marietta District, which was named only a few months ago. The restaurant and hotel zone is a few steps away from the Georgia World Congress Center and is home to chains such as Ruth's Chris Steak House, Legal Sea Foods, and McCormick and Schmick's, but also great haunts such as a sports bar/restaurant called STATS (housed in an old cotton warehouse), Peasant Bistro, and The Wine Loft. Technically, the new district also is home to Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Aquarium, The Children's Museum of Atlanta, The National Museum of Patriotism, CNN, and the Georgia World Congress Center.
