Screen Research’s Supreme 2 Motorized Screen Solutions

Screen Research is now shipping its new Supreme 2 Motorized Drop Down Screen solutions. The new line of motorized projection screen solutions incorporates performance and engineering enhancements to provide Screen Research dealers with the most versatile, customizable, high-performance, motorized screen solution available.

The Supreme 2 range is a refreshed line of motorized screen solutions designed to satisfy, both the viewer’s preferences, and the requirements of today’s advanced projectors. At the touch of a button, any room is transformed into a cinema-quality theater as Supreme 2 screens provide custom installation design and integration professionals with screen solutions that blend into custom homes and are suitable anywhere a drop down screen application is desired.

Supreme 2 screens can be mounted on ceiling or in-ceiling and are available with or without a trap door option. The product is available in a wide range of screen sizes (from 70 to 160-inches) and formats (4:3, 16:9, 2.35:1, and 2.78:1) and features precision horizontal and vertical masking systems to properly display all TV and film content.

Screen installation is designed to be easy regardless of the room or speaker placement as the entire range is available with the patented THX- and ISF-certified ClearPix2 screen fabrics and ISF-certified SolidPix fabrics.

The screens are engineered to present a surface that hangs flat with no distortion or edge warping. Screen Research’s patented new TFX Floating Tab-tensioning System helps achieve this. Its dual-floating weight system, one housed inside the other to properly apply vertical and lateral force to the screen, results in a weight efficient structure that optimizes video performance by maintaining a flat and taut screen.

The proper weight dispersion also eliminates the possibility of structural damage to the roller assembly of the screen, particularly when installing larger screen sizes that demand more rigid screen fabrics. This enables installers to specify more drop combinations, all deployed to get the best picture from any projector system.

The Supreme 2 motorized screens also feature a new casing and roller assembly design to protect the integrity of all screen fabrics when not in use and also ensures a more elegant product, with smoother operation and enhanced reliability when activated. In addition, a Lutron Sivoia QED (Quiet Electronic Drive) motor ensures a smooth, quiet, and durable motorized screen operation.

Screen Research’s Supreme 2 motorized screen range is available now through authorized Screen Research dealers and will be on display at CEDIA EXPO 2009. MSRP starts at $3,347 (up to $25,286). Ceiling- and wall-mount brackets are included for all on-ceiling models.
