Solus/Clements Loudspeakers will debut six new models at CEDIA Expo in Indianapolis.
Utilizing H-PAS technology, the new models include the 6.5T Tower, the 5.25B Bookshelf and the H-PAS SX Solus Experience Home Theater (SX HT) System. The system includes the new, only 4-inch deep, in-wall/on-wall SX 4.0 and the SX 4.0-CC center channel.
“We are more than revved up about showing our H-PAS technology in our own, new models at CEDIA,” said Phil Clements, president of Solus/Clements Loudspeakers and inventor of H-PAS Loudspeaker Technology. “What’s more, we will roll out our SX 4.0-IC in-ceiling model and the SX 4.0-LRC very shortly.”
Solus/Clements general manager Sean Miller said, “To complement these extraordinary performance products in the theater, Phil also has designed and engineered a new 12-inch powered subwoofer, the SX-12DT, specifically tuned for the H-PAS SX HT System.”
The new 6.5T Tower is a 6.5-inch woofer, 1-inch silk soft dome system, flat to 34Hz, -3dB at 30Hz, and -6db at 27Hz, 90dB sensitivity. The 5.25B Bookshelf, with only 0.58 cubic feet internal volume, is flat to 39Hz, -3dB at 34, and -5dB at 32Hz at 88dB sensitivity.
“H-PAS has strengthened what I believe has been the weakest link in loudspeaker performance: low frequency dynamic range,” Clements said.
Solus/Clements and Atlantic Technology have been partners in H-PAS—ever since Atlantic’s president Peter Tribeman requested that Clements’ Compression-Loaded-Bass technology be re-engineered to support a tower system. The result was H-PAS.
A new patent application has been filed, and now the two companies are advancing the technology. H-PAS technology licensing is available, and Atlantic is the exclusive licensing agent.
