Sunfire will be showcasing a broad range of products at CEDIA 2011 in booth #3325 at the Indiana Convention Center.

“Whether designing a modest living room entertainment system or a multi-million-dollar dedicated home theater, Sunfire’s home theater audio products offer dealers and their customers the best performance and highest value of any leading manufacturer,” said Sunfire general manager Marc Weisenberg. “From the entry-level SDS Series all the way up to the luxury XT Series, Sunfire speakers and subwoofers deliver superior performance for every home audio application.”

The Sunfire Dynamic Series (SDS) subwoofers are Sunfire’s new entry-level subs. The SDS Series features 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch models that deliver 400, 500 and 600 Watts of cool running peak power, respectively. Each subwoofer features a Sunfire-designed woofer and acoustically matched passive radiator. The DS family is also the first in the Sunfire line built around energy efficient Class-D amplification, dynamically adjusting the output of the subwoofer’s power supply to suit the requirements of the incoming audio signal. Add a low-power standby mode with signal-sensing power on/off and you have a solid performer over time, while continuously variable phase, crossover and volume controls allow for fast and precise setups.

For mid-level home theaters, Sunfire’s High Resolution Series (HRS) speakers and subwoofers provide accurate, low distortion sound at any volume. The HRS speakers include a satellite, center channel and bi-pole surround model, each featuring one or two 4.5-inch Kevlar drivers with a unique “Trifilar” voice coil and one or two ring radiating silk dome tweeters. The HRS 8-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch subwoofers are each powered by a custom-designed 1,000 Watt Sunfire amplifier paired with Sunfire’s patented Tracking Downconverter, which adjusts the amplifier’s output to suit the requirements of the incoming audio signal.

Sunfire’s flagship line is the XT Series, comprising the Cinema Ribbon Duo and Cinema Ribbon Trio on-wall and in-wall loudspeakers, and the SubRosa flat panel on-wall or in-wall subwoofer. The Cinema Ribbon loudspeakers pump out 400-plus Watts of crystal clear sound through a 6-inch ribbon and up to four 4.5-inch woofers in an enclosure as small as 8-inches tall, depending on the model. The SubRosa, the world’s only flat panel subwoofer, according to the company, features Sunfire’s patented StillBass Anti-Shake technology and 2700 Watts of bass from an enclosure that measures 3.75-inches deep. The SubRosa utilizes an external amplifier and comes complete with auto room correction.

Sunfire’s newest subwoofer, the Atmos, is due for delivery in Q4 2011. The Atmos features a custom designed 6.5-inch woofer paired with a unique new asymmetrical cardiod surround, allowing over 1.5-inches of excursion. Resembling the variable thickness of the human heart, the surround provides superior control of the 6.5-inch driver, reducing distortion and increasing fidelity and reliability.

Sunfire used FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to design the Atmos, including the aluminum cabinet and the drivers as well as redesigning the Tracking Downconverter amplifier.
