#CEDIAShares: Middle Atlantic Products

Middle Atlantic Products on how IoT trends will influence CEDIA 2018.

In our series of #CEDIAShares blogs, we’re talking with exhibitors about the hottest technologies and trends they’re looking to see at CEDIA 2018.

Q&A with Mark Tracy, VP of Marketing, Middle Atlantic Products (MAP)

Q: Why CEDIA?

Mark Tracy: CEDIA is the best opportunity every year to reconnect with our customers and learn about what they need and how we can help them deliver better systems.

Q: What is the most exciting trend you expect to see at the show?

MT: There are a number of trends to watch, but the whole IoT and connected devices trend is the one that seems to generate the most excitement. As exciting as IoT is with the way it can enhance homeowners overall experience, at MAP—along with the other the AV brands of Legrand—we always work to help integrators focus on the perhaps less exciting, but equally important trend of increasing reliability to help ensure great experiences.

Q: What will you focus on at the show?

MT: To help integrators deliver more reliable systems, we are focusing on a new DC distribution power product. When we show integrators how they can replace outboard power supplies (wall warts) with a single high power, protected, multi-outlet supply, they can then remove a few more potential failure points. Combined with other best practices of enabling remote reboots with RackLink, designing in effective thermal management, and addressing cabling and signal, integrators can increase reliability and gain some piece of mind.
